About the Event
Hello Parents and Community Agencies,
It’s time for the Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS). This year PALS is being held July 14-21nd. We are inviting parents, community leaders, agencies that work with teens that will have completed 9th grade, and inquiring students to an information session about the benefits of attending PALS beyond the 50 service hours students will receive. Visit www.PALSconference.org for more detailed information. However, we would like for you to join us on Sunday to hear about opportunities and from other students who have graduated the program as well.
PALS is a weeklong leadership and development program designed to provide a more intensive focus on leadership, diversity and inclusion, building life skills, enhancing self-care techniques and more. Students stay on Florida International University campus in dorms and earn 50 service hours towards graduation. On Career Day teens receive training on how to find college scholarships and have one on one time with people that work in their desired fields. Our Life Skills workshop details how to save, build credit, find transportation + housing, and creating a monthly budget. Workshops on building self-esteem and dealing with all forms of bullying and even suicide ideation is always a priority for us.
Fun activities at PALS every night = prom, a talent show, karaoke, art therapy, pool parties, and more.PALS is a weeklong leadership and development program that provides an intensive focus on leadership, personal development, diversity, building life skills, enhancing self-care techniques, socially hot topics, and more.
